Google is experimenting with a new look for its search results page, and so far users don't seem impressed. For the past few days, people have been taking to Twitter to largely complain about the new look that Google has been toying with. According to Google, the experiment is part of what the company calls a "bucket test", which is a test with changes made visible only to a small percentage of users.

Sony has warned that almost 25 million extra gaming users may have had their personal details taken in a hacker attack. On Monday, it had taken the Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) service offline after a security breach.

Capcom has promised a complete renovation of the much-loved Resident Evil franchise for the sixth installment of the game. The gory third-person survival game, which is yet to have a confirmed release schedule, will pay homage to the legacy of the series but boast a full rebuild compared to Resident Evil 5.

Dropbox yesterday changed its terms of service, as reported by Business Insider. With the new terms of service, Dropbox now says that it will “United States law enforcement when it receives valid legal process” and may, if necessary, decrypt the files in private Dropbox folders, allowing them to be read by government investigators.

Although 29 years have gone by since the C64's 1982 release, Commodore USA says it is releasing a new version of the venerable computer, complete with a new version of the Commodore OS that has been updated for modern day and which includes a Web browser and a Microsoft Office-compatible suite of productivity tools.

The BBC has apologised after all of its websites went down yesterday, due to a massive technical fault with its network. It's a rare thing for the BBC's entire internet infrastructure to fail, so Twitter was flooded with people unsure just why none of the Beeb's websites were working from 11pm till 12am.

Rainy seasons aren't just a regular occurrence on Earth - they also happen on Titan, the largest moon of Saturn. The rain isn't water, it's methane. And the seasons are years long, as Titan takes two weeks to go around Saturn and Saturn takes 29 years to complete one circuit of the Sun.

The only thing not to love about the 2012 Audi R8 GT would be its price tag. Audi announced that the fastest and lightest production car in its lineup will start at $196,800, $4K more than a starter Ferrari California. Factor in the $1,250 destination charge, and you're pretty close to $200,000.

Angry Birds has now been downloaded more than 100 million times, according to Rovio Mobile marketing exec Peter Vesterbacka, speaking on a panel at the SXSW conference in Austin, Texas. Vesterbacka was keen to stir up some controversy at the event. "Tablets are killing consoles," he said. "Four generations of new tablets come before a new console, if one ever comes."
